Pat Lunemann presented a check for $3500 to Pastor Brian Birk for Todd County Habitat for Humanity. This is the largest donation to the group so far. At least 30 people donated their time and skills to work on the new Twin Eagle Dairy barn. They spent many hours installing ceramic tiling and sheetrocking and taping.

What do you do when it snows nearly two feet in 24 hours? Several employees at the Central Todd County Care Center did the only thing they could do: they worked. Calls began to come in early Saturday from employees who were unable to get to work. Those who were at the care center stayed. People who came in Saturday morning worked until 10:30 p.m. Saturday night then slept on the floor and worked Sunday.

Only 14 calls were answered by the Clarissa Fire Department during the year of 1971, according to a report this week by Jim Anderson, secretary of the organization.

Tonight is the night! Those Paul Newmans or Audrey Hepburns in our community are invited to come tonight, Thursday, January 6, at 8 p.m. to the Industrial Arts Room for tryouts in the Tooter Rooter play “The Mouse That Roared’ If you can’t make it tonight, come Sunday afternoon, January 9 at 2 p.m.
