Seven people were involved in a car and pickup truck collision late March 31 at about 12:30. The accident occurred on Todd County Road 11, one mile south of Clarissa. Four people were injured. Most seriously injured in the crash was Elmer Clark, driver of the pickup. He was taken via ambulance to St. John’s Hospital in Browerville and then transferred to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of a possible broken vertebra in the neck. The driver of the car was Robert Host, who with his wife, Sharon and a nephew David Lisson, age 15, was also taken to St. John’s Hospital, treated for injuries and released. The three Host children, Donna, 8, Gena, 11, and Dale, 7, were also examined but were not injured.
