25 Years Ago

December 24, 1997

The Central Todd County Care Center held its annual staff Christmas party and presentation of service award pins on December 19, 1997. Twenty-one employees received pins in recognition of 3, 5, 10, 15, and 20 years of service. Three employees received special recognition for behind the scenes at the Care Center since it opened in April of 1977. The three were Berdie Parks, Billy Spychalla, and Jane Host.

50 Years Ago

December 21, 1972

The Clarissa High School Choir, under the direction of Mrs. Don Bain, will appear on KCMT-TV, Channel 7, on Thursday, December 21, beginning at 5 p.m.

Santa arrived in town last Saturday for his traditional visit, and with the help of the Clarissa Commercial Club and the local businesses, he distributed more than 400 bags of candy, nuts, and apples to the youngsters in the area who came to visit him.
