The Teddy Bear Band performed a lively concert at the Central Todd County Care Center to a full house of residents, pre-schoolers and their moms. Many of the pre-schoolers brought their teddy bears along and danced to the music.

The Eagle Valley volleyball team won three conference matches last week to move their conference record to 8-0. The Rebels played Browerville on Monday, defeating the Tigers 3-1. The Rebels played good team volleyball the first two games, but sat back on their heels in the third. The passing fell apart in the third game which makes it hard to set and get good hits. The serving as a team was only 89%.

Dennis Pooler of Parkers Prairie was hired by the village council as chief of police for the village at the monthly meeting held last Monday evening at the city hall.

Ruben Miller, village clerk, wishes to remind the residents that the filing for positions expired on the village council will close at 5 p.m. next Tuesday. The filing period for the annual election to be held on November 6 opened on September 25.
