George Wagner of rural Clarissa became a very happy hunter this year when he dropped a large buck while bow and arrow hunting. This is only the second year that George has been hunting deer with his bow and he said, “This is one of the greatest experiences of my life!” The 10 point buck, weighing in at over 200 pounds, was taken north of Clarissa near the Germania Town Hall. George would like to caution other bow hunters that while field dressing a deer, not to forget that the sharp arrowhead still could be embedded in the animal and could cause a severe cut. George has a nicked finger to prove this point.
