The Clarissa Commercial Club meeting was called to order by President Steve Skillings. There was discussion on the membership dinner. At this point they have 39 people attending.

On Tuesday, the Chargers came to take on a hungry Rebels team. In the past few games, the Chargers have been playing very well and we have had to pick up our game. We have been playing well but not well enough to win in our last four games. Our defense needs to be solid to stop any runs to be made by the other team.

Clarissa Surge Dealers Bob Fueling and Ken Pesta returned home this past week after spending over two weeks in Athens, Greece and Rome, Italy. They came home with an international award for being considered the top Surge dealers in the world for 1973.

Another record high in sales was attained at the Clarissa Municipal Liquor Store for the year 1973, according to the village financial statements issued this week by Ruben Miller, village clerk.
