Folk tale author and illustrator Barbara Knutson spoke to Eagle Valley Elementary students on Tuesday, February 23. Students volunteered creative, alternative ways to say “went down the hill.”

On February 19, Brandon-Evnasville visited the Lady Rebels of Eagle Valley. The Lady Rebels played solid defense. With seven points for Susie Hayes, the Rebels trailed B-E by only eight points at the half. Jessica Serbus and Dana Dickinson each scored five points in the fourth quarter. B-E won the game 54-39.

February 28, 1974
Both of the wrestlers representing Clarissa were beaten in the Region 6 action at Brainerd last week. Harry DeBlieck was pinned in the first round of competition by a wrestler from Glenwood, and Randy Meyer was pinned by an Aitkin wrestler also in first round of action.

The Hustlin’ Rustics 4-H Club will be conducting a paper drive in Clarissa on Saturday, March 2, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. A truck will be parked at the downtown city park. Bring your newsprint papers only to this pick-up station.
