Working high above the city, workers have been quietly cleaning and painting the inside of the Clarissa water tower for the past week. The company doing the job is the Water Tower Paint Repair Company from Clear Lake, Iowa.

Tom Henrich was among more that 100 Farmer’s Union dairy farmers who went to Washington, D.C. during the week of September 16 to demand that the federal government take action to halt the drastic economic decline in the dairy industry and to assure continued supplies for the consumer.

There were 817 voters in the Browerville area that went to the polls on Tuesday and voted “yes” for the $1,668,800 bond issue for the construction of a new school building. It was one of the largest turnout of voters ever in the history of Browerville.
