Shannon Motl took over as the new manager of the All Star convenience store in Clarissa on October 1. Shannon has been employed at the convenience store since it opened two years ago.

Last Tuesday night, the Eagle Valley ECFE class hosted their October family fun night. The class, parents and educators went for a hayride through the city streets of Clarissa. The children enjoyed the ride looking at all of the Halloween decorations. The ride ended up at the Clarissa Park where the educators had a fire waiting. The group spent the rest of the evening playing in the park, roasting marshmallows and making smores.

October 24, 1974
The junior class play is a comedy called “The Mouse That Roared,” It will be presented on Saturday, November 9 at 8 p.m. in the school auditorium.

While ghosts and haunted houses are imaginary perils that youngsters face on their Halloween rounds, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety reminds parents that there are some other very real dangers that their children will face while on the trail of “tricks or treats”. Please be safe while trick or treating.
