“Automation Most Welcome Backbreaker Replacement” was the headline in the Wheaton Gazette in October of this year. The full page feature was an article and picture of a machine that was invented and manufactured here in Clarissa, the Harley rock picker.

One hundred and fifty friends and relatives attended an open house at the United Methodist Church last Sunday afternoon, November 17, honoring Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bain on the occasion of their fortieth wedding anniversary.
