On Monday evening, November 29, there were several homes in Clarissa vandalized by some area youth. They damaged several Christmas displays and lights. There was no reason for the destruction. They stole and destroyed several strings of lights, extension cords and Christmas figurines, some of which were on display in the yards. Others they actually stripped right off the houses or garages.

December 12, 1974
Guy Doud, DFL, and Bruce Nelsen, Republican, came out the winners in the special primary election held last Tuesday and will oppose each other in the special general election to be held on December 23.

The son of a Clarissa resident has been assigned to Fairchild AFT, Washington, for duty with a unit of the Strategic Air Command. Air Force Sergeant Dale A. Karjala, son of Mrs. Neil Hirth of Clarissa is an accounting specialist with the 92nd Combat Support Group.
