Everyone has heard of the Boys Scouts of America. The organization was founded in 1910, so the year 2000 is its 90th anniversary. Tara Dickinson, an Eagle Valley elementary student, placed third with her Peace Poster at the District 5M8 Lions Convention held in Hinckley this past weekend.

February 13 1975
If residents in the area think they have a lot of snow in their yards, they’re right, because according to daily records over 40 inches of the white stuff has fallen in this vicinity since January 3. That’s a pile of snow!

Despite the 20 below reading on the thermometer, a large and enthusiastic crowd attended the Mid-Winter Carnival at the Clarissa School on Saturday evening.
