25 Years Ago

February 23, 2000

Members of the Todd County Planning Commission, staff from the Planning and Zoning office and over a dozen supportive farmers and neighbors accepted Pat Lunemann’s offer to tour Twin Eagle Dairy. Twin Eagle is a family-owned dairy farm operated by Pat and Jody Lunemann and their children in Section 10 of Eagle Valley Township just northeast of Clarissa. Lunemann has recently filed an application for a conditional use permit to expand his operation. Included are additions to the barn and increasing the animal units from the currently permitted 560 to a possible 840 units.

Pictured is Tammy Anderson with a big smile when she got a special Valentine’s delivery from Glenn Kuperus dressed in all his formal splendor. Kuperus was making Valentine’s deliveries for Eagle Bend Floral. The flowers were from Tammy’s husband Bruce.


50 Years Ago

February 27, 1975

Dick Wittenberg, an eighth grader at our local high school, has been notified that an essay which he had written has been accepted for publication. It appears in the 1974 Fall Anthology Western High School Essays, published by the National Essay Press of Los Angeles, California.

The Clarissa Buccaneers finished their regular season schedule with a 59-44 non-conference victory over Grey Eagle.
