Central Ag’s booking day was held on Wednesday, March 15 at the Clarissa City Hall. Lunch was served for the area farmers and 12 door prizes were given away. Winners of the prizes were: Shirley Turner, Dean Meiners, Barry Bauer, L.D. Johnson, Dave Hairsine, Jerry Gjerstad, Jim Harrington, Ray Cline, Norman Nelson and Roger Pommerening. The winners of the two children’s prizes were Travis Dickinson and Daniel Harren.

Trish and Sarah Wagner of Clarissa spent a week at the State Capitol in February working as interns for State Representative Mary Ellen Otremba (DFL-Long Prairie) where they got a first hand look at how the legislature works. Trish and Sarah’s parents are David and Kathy Wagner of Clarissa.

Dr. John Romstad of Minneapolis opened his dentist office in Clarissa on Thursday, March 27, at his newly remodeled office located in the building formerly occupied by the late Dr. H.J. Schopf on Main Street.

Peggy (Eisenbraun) Moen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Eisenbraun, was one of the two stylists to place in the hairstyling competition recently at the Wadena Area Vocational Technical Institute. Peggy will now compete in the state contest at a spring clinic in Minneapolis on April 21.
