25 Years Ago

April 5, 2000

Pictured are Rick Host, Chuck Lundeen, Dennis Peterson, Jerry Host and David Peterson working up on the scaffolding and Pastor Ray Noel, Dale Foote and Al Moen working on the ground. They all donated their time and muscle to the residing project at the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Clarissa.

On hand for the final inspection of the Colonial Terrace Apartments in Clarissa were Greg Jacobson, project manager, All Building Corp.; Margi Taggart, Administrator CTCCC; Mike Betterman, project superintendent, All Building Corp.; Bob Winkler, Maintenance Manager, CTCCC; Jan Trosvig, President, All Building Corp.; and Julie Rokke, Architect, YHR Partners. The building project was completed on schedule and under budget according to Taggart.


50 Years Ago

April 10, 1975

The state final piano contest, sponsored by the Minnesota Music Teachers Association, was held at the university campus at Minneapolis on March 22. Three Clarissa students were selected as winners to play in the State Honor Concert at Northrup auditorium on June 8. They are Timothy Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Miller; Lori Hansen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Hansen; and Renee Noska, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Noska.

Twenty beautiful “Dream Dolls” graced the window and counter at Pearl’s Variety this past weekend. The dolls were made and displayed by students of the home ec class at the Clarissa School.
