About 40 parents, grandparents, and siblings showed up for the Storytelling and Sharing on January 17 at the Eagle Valley Elementary School. Mrs. Schiffman’s second-grade class hosted the event. All of the second-grade students in Mrs. Schiffman’s class shared their story with four different groups.

The Rebels girls hosted the Osakis Silverstreaks on Tuesday, January 16. The first quarter found both teams playing good ball. Lisa Schauer netted two field goals for the Rebels, but Osakis displayed better balance and led 12-7 after the first quarter. The second quarter was well played as the two teams exchanged baskets. Amanda Klimek and Megan Greene led the Rebels attack. The Silverstreaks led 26-19 at the half. The Rebels won 50-38.

January 21, 1971
Spencer Hayes, a standout performer for the Clarissa High School, was named to WCCO Radio’s All-State Basketball Team of the Week on Thursday night, January 14.

Superintendent Herbert Wolff of Clarissa was appointed as a new member to the Todd County Nursing Service Committee at the regular meeting held on January 6 at the Long Prairie Courthouse.
