25 Years Ago

November 6, 1996

Lee Nelson of the Centennial/All School Reunion Committee has narrowed the list of addresses needed for Clarissa school alums down to two lists. The first list includes names of those on which no information whatsoever is known. The second list is those for whose current address is unknown.

Central Todd County Care Center is now offering physical therapy, speech and occupational therapy on a daily basis. In the past, the care center has provided rehab nursing with weekly consultations. Contracts with two agencies made these expanded services available. Therapists are Peter Krump, physical therapist; Jane Eckel, occupational therapist; Beth Godding, certified O.T. aide; and Lillian Deal, rehab aide.

50 Years Ago

November 4, 1971

A letter of commendation honoring the high performance on the 1971 National Merit Scholarship qualifying test has been awarded to Tom Baker, a senior at the Clarissa High School, Principal Dahn Beaudoin announced. Tom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Baker Jr.

Joel Hokanson, one of Clarissa’s top running backs, was injured in the first quarter of the Browerville-Clarissa football game last Friday evening.
