Megan and Emily Thibodeau, daughters of Tom and Tammy (Tibby’s Cafe) of Clarissa, recently won the Most Beautiful Baby Contest in the Little Falls Region. The contest was open to children 0-6 years and was held in Little Falls on November 9. Both girls won in their age group and also won the prettiest eyes and most photogenic. Emily is one and a half, and Megan is three and a half years old.

The Clarissa area RSVP members enjoyed a presentation by RSVP Director Katie Quittschreiber. The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. On October 29, a Recognition Day was held in Clarissa. Last year these RSVP volunteers gave 1974 hours of service.

The Clarissa School subscription drive ended last Thursday, November 11. The tabulation of the students’ sales for their hometown newspaper, an annual event, brought their student council a total of $164.75, plus two bonus points of $25 each for a total of $214.75.

Mr. and Mrs. Gene Watts, new editors and publishers of the Clarissa Independent, are holding a get-acquainted open house this Friday, November 19, from 1-5 p.m.
