Hats for Kids
The Quilting Group of St. Matthew’s/Immanuel Churches in Clarissa and Eagle Bend has gathered for years to make mission quilts for charitable organizations near and far.
Recently, quilters have been focusing on organizations closer to home.
This past holiday season, the sewers diverted their talents from quilts and sewed 81 polar fleece hats for children enrolled in the Head Start Pre-school Early Childhood Education program through Tri-County Community Action Partnership in Todd County.
Tri-County Community Action Partnership’s (TCCAP) mission is to engage the entire community to listen to and partner with low-income individuals and families to expand their opportunities to move out of economic poverty and toward prosperity.
The quilting group is hoping to build a caring and supportive community by sharing talents and projects with those in need.
