Hewitt man crashes motorcycle twice, arrested for suspected DWI
On June 11, at 4 p.m., the Todd County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a motorcycle crash near the intersection of State Highway 210 and Todd County Road 23. Upon the arrival of first responders, it was learned that the male driver had gotten back on his motorcycle and left the scene.
A short time later, the male party was located by law enforcement in the city of Hewitt and had yet again crashed his motorcycle.
The male driver was identified as Ricky Grunwald, 63, of Hewitt.
He was checked by medical professionals at the scene and denied medical attention.
Grunwald was arrested by law enforcement at the scene for suspicion of DWI and was transported to the Todd County Jail.
The Minnesota State Patrol, Wadena County Sheriff’s Office, Hewitt Fire Department and Bertha Ambulance Service assisted the Todd County Sheriff’s Office.
