Hewitt Museum set to open July 2

The Hewitt Public School Museum has been cleaned up after the recent vandalism and is ready to open to the public.
On May 16, three juveniles broke into the museum and set off a fire extinguisher on the top floor, coating everything in powder.
On Monday, June 19, a clean-up day was held to allow the three minors to help clean up some of the mess. Under the watchful eyes of their parents and Hewitt Historical Society members, the kids vacuumed and mopped all of the floors, while dusting off bookshelves, banisters and areas that didn’t contain artifacts. . .
