Lady Pirates conference opener loss against Wolverines: Girls are victorious over Trojans

In a Park Region Conference opener, the Pirates fell to the Wadena-Deer Creek (WDC) Wolverines 23-39. Throughout the game Verndale struggled to find an offensive rhythm. Defensively, the Pirates held WDC to 17 first half points but could not convert on the other end. Verndale shot just 22% from the field. Katie Blaha and Reagen Ludovissie each scored six points for the Pirates. . .
