Letter to the Editor

To the Editor:

Over and over again what I hear from friends and confirmed by various news outlets is that many (maybe even most Americans) will not so much be voting for Biden or Trump, but against either Biden or Trump.

Many don’t really like the policies and/or character of either one.

Question: is there another option?

I personally would like to hear of other options, and not necessarily of those running for President of the present registered third parties. I have no name in mind, admitting that being in the Philippines for the past 47 years, I’m pretty naïve as to who would be a good option.

I’m actually playing with the idea of a triune/triumvirate option, that is three run as a team together.

Of course one would have to be the official elected one, but the three agree that they would dialogue together over issues and find the best option for all of us Americans, as well as for the world as a whole. I am open though, to whatever and would like to listen to the opinions of others.

I’ve bought space in this paper to advertise a get together of those who would like to share their thoughts and concerns and suggestions.

I just hope and am praying hard actually that those who will be attending will come with an open heart and willing to learn from one another.

That is, if you have already made up your mind and nothing would change it, no need to come. You’d only be wasting your time.

My prayer is that we could show the rest of America that there is a community that is respectful and civil and loving. There are too many family members that have broken off their relationship with one another over politics. Not good.

Can we put central Minnesota covered by the Independent News Herald on the map? All we need is faith as big as a mustard seed, one of the smallest seeds out there.

I’ve actually experienced it, seeing God act on my little faith—not with regard to politics, but Jesus did not exclude politics from His promise. Enough for now. See the advertisement in next week’s newspaper.

The meeting of the minds for the next presidential election will be held on July 25 at the Clarissa Community Center/Senior Center at 6:30 p.m.

By the way, I’ve just arrived from the Philippines and will be in this area until mid-August. Once again I’m thoroughly enjoying the beauty around here and seeing once again all my dear friends here—my heart has always been on this farm and the countryside around it. For me, most beautiful place in the world—and I’ve been on most continents and in numerous countries.

Yours,
