To the Editor:
On November 5, voters in Todd County will have the opportunity to cast their vote for Minnesota District Court Judge Timothy M. Churchwell.
For me, voting for Judge Churchwell is the obvious choice. Judge Churchwell is exceptionally qualified and a hard working judge serving the 7th Judicial District.
Judge Churchwell was originally recommended to this position in 2017 by an independent, merit-based judicial selection commission because of his qualifications, experience, and integrity.
He was elected to this position by us, the voters, in 2018.
Judge Churchwell has 35 years of legal experience in Minnesota. Before becoming a judge, he worked in both the private and public practice sectors. Overall, his practice was focused on appearing in district courts throughout central Minnesota.
His knowledge and experience have served all of us well. Judge Churchwell is known and respected for his integrity, impartiality, and commitment to our community. Personally, he is an approachable individual who listens carefully to our concerns and issues.
As a former Todd County Attorney, I worked with and tried cases with Judge Churchwell when he was in private and public practice. For those 20 years I gained nothing but respect for his legal skills, ethics and sense of justice. Justice based on the facts and law—not politics.
It is important we have highly-qualified and hard-working individuals like Judge Churchwell serving on our District Court.
Join me in supporting Judge Churchwell’s re-election to his seat on the 7th Judicial District Court bench by casting your vote for him on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
