Local golfers have a great time at State meet

Getting to the State tournament in any sport is a great feat but for cousins Carter White and Mallory Uselman it was a special time to bond over the game they both love—golf.
Both are Verndale students who play on the Staples-Motley Cardinals team. Both went to the Class 2A State tournament this season held at Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan on Tuesday, June 14 and Wednesday, June 15.
White, a freshman, made his second appearance at the State tournament. He placed 23rd overall after two days of golf. . .
