Corey Hennagir and Suzy Kirscht were crowned Snow Daze King and Queen at the coronation ceremony held on Tuesday, January 21. The student council sponsored many dress-up days throughout the Snow Daze week and on Friday, January 24, the Snow Daze dance was held.

“We don’t really own the hospital yet,” said Superintendent Larry Werder. “The attorney has the abstract now and we should be getting a letter this week.” Several firm quotes were taken for the demolition of the hospital. Werder explained that a firm quote was not the same as a bid. Seven quotes were received from a high quote of $82,600 from Waln Blacktopping to a low quote of $19,125 from Hansen Excavating.

With the fund campaign for the “March of Dimes” entering its final week, officials in charge of the campaign here have invited the residents to back the campaign to the limit of their ability.

The Rural Youth of Todd County and the local Farm Bureau Unit will hold a joint meeting at the Bertha School Auditorium on February 5. A message of interest to both groups will be presented. Entertainment will be sponsored by the Rural Youth and lunch will be served.
