An unfortunate accident took place on the school grounds at recess when Bruce Will fell on a piece of glass and severed an artery and several veins and tendons in his left wrist. Because of the extreme delicacy of making the necessary repairs, Dr. and Mrs. C. B. Will took him to Minneapolis where the operation was performed. According to reports, Bruce had been on the teeter-totter and jumped off, landing on his hands and feet. Evidently, someone had carelessly broken a pop bottle and failed to pick up the pieces.
