Kedric Harms, son of Arthur and Susan Harms of Bertha, has begun a two year culinary arts program at New England Culinary Institute. Rather than working in simulated kitchens or lecture style classrooms, Kedric, who attended Bertha-Hewitt School, will have the opportunity of working starting the first day in five food service outlets that provide dining experiences for the paying public. After the two year program, Kedric will earn an Associate of Occupational Studies Degree in Culinary Arts.

The Kelroys, Donna and Mullie, are the proud owners of a new Kaiser. Painted in two shades of blue, it is really nice looking. Donna’s cousin, Barbara, has been visiting her and of course has had the privilege of riding in the new car. We could go on all day about how wonderful it is, but we think little Janet Hilpert had a masterful way of putting it when she explained, “Oh my, isn’t that a gorgeous car! How I envy Barbara riding downtown in the back of it so often. I’d give a nickle if I could only ride in front for just half a block.”
