The Bears Barry Kuhnke and Luke Wilhelmi accepted Bertha-Hewitt’s Section 6A runner-up trophy on Friday, November 6 at the Fargodome in Fargo, North Dakota after their 32-27 loss to the Browerville Tigers.

The city of Bertha will be in good shape to get their new sewer treatment facility going once they are able to get grant money to start the work. This past week a report was received from Bolton and Menk and the plans have been approved by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.

The Women’s Club has taken over the drive to raise funds for the Christian Rural Overseas Program, known as CROP. The drive is sponsored by Catholic Rural Life, Church World Service and Lutheran World Relief. Gifts are accepted from American farmers and distributed to the needy overseas.

The Bertha- School will present the operetta “Peep Show Park” and the high school carnival event on November 19 at 8 p.m. The program will display musical talent and will raise funds for high school activities.
