Gags, comedy, and stunts—and a special tribute to Bertha—will be the order of the day here on Saturday, November 5, when WCCO originates its “Our Own Bob” show from the Bertha Hardware and Furniture Company. The program, sponsored by more than 500 independent locally owned Our Own Hardware Stores, features Bob DeHaven, one of the northwest’s most popular radio entertainers and master of ceremonies, and Hal Garve, popular singer of modern and western ballads. Al Englemann, co-owner of the Bertha Hardware and Furniture Company, said the performance will be open to the public and that persons from the audience will be invited to participate.
