A big night of fun and a lot of laughs will take place Friday evening when an all-male cast of local men take part in the side-splitting comedy, “The Big Baby Revues” sponsored by the American Legion. This riot of laughter will be put on by the men you see on the street every day. You will hardly recognize them once they get their grease paint on and parade before floodlights as these boy-legged “beauties” do their stuff. A partial list of the cast: Pappy Hartman as Mrs. Fine Feather; Bob Burgess as Sugarbun; Kenneth Piere as Al Jolson; Leonard Hubrig as Miss Bertha, Paul Peterson as Tarzan; and Melvin Sagehorn as Maria Montz.

A surprise drill was held by the Bertha Volunteer Fire Department. The drill was called by Fire Chief Bill Cary to test the efficiency of the department. Cary was well satisfied with the results as it took only four and a half minutes from the time the siren sounded until the water was turned on.
