The sixth grade trip to Long Lake Conservation Center this year was another first for the Bertha-Hewitt School students. This was the first B-H class to sleep in the new 128 bed dormitory! This was truly a great year because the students had this large facility all to themselves. This was the 27th trip the students have taken to Long Lake.

There are no second chances once tournament time comes around and for the Bears it was an early exit as they were downed 68-57 by Eagle Valley. “We knew we would need to play above average to compete in the tournament,” said Coach Finck. “If we did then we could go a long way but we got out-played by the Rebels and so ends the season.” The loss ends the team’s season with a fine 17-6 record.
