Bob Sieling, the secondary computer coordinator, made a proposal to the school board for the purchase of new computers for the high school. In 1989 and 1990 the school district purchased 42 IBM computers. In 1991, eight more computers were added to individual classrooms. The new computer lab would bring the secondary department up-to-date with machines capable of running in a Windows environment.

Bertha-Hewitt beat Brandon-Evansville 62-47 and then the Henning Hornets 57-51 on the way to the Osakis Christmas Tournament Championship. The win pushed the Bears record to 5-1 going into the holiday break.

December 27, 1945
A deputy collector of internal revenue will be in the village on January 7 for the purpose of helping farmers to file their income tax returns for the year 1945. His headquarters will be established at the Bertha Theater.

The Bertha Bears basketball team defeated the Verndale Pirates for the second time in a week, 25 to 17. An interesting fact is that two men, Harlow and Schwantz, made all the Bears points except two free throws made by Sagehorn.
