Lori Ostrowski, who owns and operates the Ostrowski Day Care in Hewitt, and the children under her completed their food drive for the Bertha Food Shelf. Ostrowski said, “We partly did it to inform the children in daycare that not everyone has food in their cupboards.” Eleven children participated in the food drive which raised many items from noodles to canned meats. The Pizza Hut in Wadena gave each child who participated a certificate for a personal pan pizza. The children who participated were April and Dylan Templin; Dakota, Madison and Autumn Aeling; Kenny, Kayla and Brandon Fah; Michelle and Madelyn Zahnow; and Alex Rach.
