Lorenzo arrested after DWI crash leaves two teens injured

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on April 11, a Ford Flex driven by Francisco Castro Lorenzo, 46, of Perham, was southbound in the northbound lane of Highway 71 in Blueberry Township when it struck an Expedition driven by Avyana Joy Isaacson, 16, of Menahga, around Milepost 251.
Isaacson did sustain non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Astera Health, and passenger Connor Khiao Sinthavong, 16, of Sebeka, also suffered injuries.
Lorenzo was drunk and was taken to Park Rapids St. Joseph’s for his injuries.
According to the criminal complaint, Lorenzo was on felony probation from Otter Tail County.
He is facing charges of third-degree DWI, criminal vehicular operation, and driving without a valid license.
He possessed a Guatemalan passport and identification card.
