There is a lot to be said about the power of experience.
Albert Einstein said, “The only source of knowledge is experience.”
Author Paulo Coelho noted, “Be brave. Take risks. Nothing can substitute [for] experience.”
Lonnie Marcyes, who is running for the position of Todd County Sheriff, knows a thing or two about experience, as well.
He has served the county in the sheriff’s department in a variety of positions over the past 19 and a half years. He also served the Eagle Bend, Long Prairie and Staples police departments prior to joining the team at the county.
When he did join the Todd County department he started out as a road deputy and later took on the role of sergeant.
Currently, he serves as second in command under Sheriff Steve Och as chief deputy. . .
