Mitch Becker wrestled to a third-place finish at 152 pounds in this year’s state tournament. Mitch was in top form while winning five matches en route to earning his medal. Mitch finished the year with 34 wins and two losses. Mitch already has 107 career wins and he is just a junior.

Four members of the Browerville FFA Chapter participated in the Region 2 Agricultural Mechanics Contest at Menahga on Wednesday, February 19. Team members were Jess Hanych, Josh Hayes, John Tschida and Ev Prather. Browerville placed sixth out of eleven teams.

Local sportsmen sensing the need for a combined effort to further conserve and protect the nearby game areas are promoting a sportsman club. To date, more than 150 have placed their names on the roster.

Servicemen of the Browerville community were given assurance this week that the proposed club room, sponsored by the members of the VFW and American Legion, will materialize. Construction work will begin as soon as weather conditions permit. John Konetzko an ex-serviceman, has been negotiating to provide the new club rooms which will, if present plans carry, be located on Main Street, between the E.J. Woell and John Hallek barbershops.
