Cindy Brichacek is the new Senior Nutrition Site Manager a the Browerville Senior Center. Cindy explained that the workload is getting to be too much for the volunteers, Rosland Host and Lorraine Wlick because with state funding a great deal of paperwork is required. May 6 marked the first year anniversary of the nutrition program in Browerville.

Meg Johnson, the 10-year-old daughter of Mark and Kerri Johnson of Browerville, entered the Dream USA Pageant Mini Nationals in St. Paul Sunday, May 4. Meg won the Supreme Dream USA Queen title for her age level. Besides winning the title, she took first runner up in the Photogenic category and she won the talent and freestyle modeling. She will represent Minnesota at the National level in Peoria, Illinois in August.

May 18, 1972
The local car wash was broken into late Sunday night or early Monday morning. The coin box was broken into and the contents were removed. An undetermined amount of coins was taken. Damage to the coin machine is estimated at $90, according to the owner Ed Sobota.

Betty and Lavern Martinek opened “The Rail” for business on Friday, May 12. They will be serving light lunches, beer, pop, and other confections.
