Catherine Krog drew the lucky $10,000 Christ the King raffle winner on Tuesday, September 2. The lucky winners were Roger and Cindy Wippler of Roseville.

The Browerville Tigers football team extended their overall record to 2-0 and their conference total to 1-0 with a convincing 40-30 win over Menahga in the 1997 home opener last Friday. The Tigers scored on every possession of the game as they rushed for 492 yards in 77 carries and were one for one passing for 14 yards.

September 11, 1947
Peter Kiselewski returned from New York last week on Wednesday. Pete went to New York as a delegate from the 6th District to attend the National American Legion Convention. While there he visited his brother Joe. Joseph sent greetings to all Browerville and Minnesota friends.

The annual organizational meeting of the Browerville Bowling Association was held in the village hall last Friday evening. All of the team captains and other interested bowlers were present. The league officer, Henry Brenny, president, and Father Kraemer, secretary-treasurer, were sentenced to serve another term. It was decided to open the league season on Monday, September 22.
