The Christ the King marathon took place on Friday afternoon, September 19. The students at Christ the King worked hard to gather pledges for their school. Their grand total for pledges was $3163. The top pledge collector was Jordan Ostrowski, $352. He received a radio/CD player donated by the KC’s. Second place was Patrick Hudalla with $155. He received a $20 Target gift certificate. Third place was Kristen Brever, $145

The Tigers were on the road for three matches this past week. All three were conference matches and they came away with only one win and two very tough losses. The Tigers fell to the Eagle Valley Rebels, 1-3. They won the Becker tournament, a five-game marathon, and lost to Osakis during their third match of the week.

The Eager Beavers 4-H Club held its annual meeting last Wednesday evening, October 8, at the Tom Buhl home with 17 members answering roll call. Officers were re-elected as follows: president, Bernice Spychalla; vice president, Gerald Drajna; secretary, Betty Lou Sobots, treasurer, Ardell Verhey, reporter Doris Drajna and assistant reporter Alvina Schieffer.

“Girl Shy,” a three-act comedy, has been selected by the senior class of Browerville High School as their annual play to be presented at the Paderewski Auditorium on October 30 at 8:15 p.m.
