Geography Bee participants at Christ the King School on Friday, January 9, were: Jenna May, Kari Meyer, Kristin Breaver, Krysta Pachan, Jeni Johnson, Greg Salber, Tim Noska, Jesse Polak (winner), Nic Johnson and Joseph Leprince.

Last Friday night, the Tigers were defeated by the Swanville Patriots 61-46. In the first quarter, the Tigers played exceptionally well, as they outscored the Patriots 16-11. However, in the second quarter, fans saw the Patriots outscore the Tigers 22-8 as their pressure full-court press caused the Tigers to turn the ball over numerous times.

Receipt of an order for 1,836,000 pounds (38 carloads) of milk powder to be packed in four-and-one-half pound tins was revealed this week by L.M. Hyaell, manager of the Todd County Cooperative Drying Plant at Browerville. The order involves a government contract obtained by the North Star Dairy Cooperative, the selling agency of the Todd County organization and four others, and was assigned to the Browerville plant to be filled.

The Browerville Community Sportsman’s Club is sponsoring a dance at the Horseshoe Lake Pavilion next Sunday evening, January 18. Music will be furnished by a good seven-piece orchestra. Everyone is invited with a good time assured by all who are in attendance.
