The Browerville Tigers defeated the Parkers Prairie Panthers on Monday, Parent’s Night, in overtime 58-56. The parents and fans saw an exciting game as both teams played well offensively and defensively. However, the game was won from the charity line as the Tigers netted 11 of 16 in the last quarter and overtime to edge the Panthers.

Mrs. Michaels’ third graders must have discovered a new kind of fish in our area because they went “Fishing for Valentines”, and you should see what they caught! The students then tallied up the five different tail markings and made a graph from their findings. Watch out for the “multi-colored- tail Valentine fish” for that was the most abundant in our area.

The scout committee met at the high school on Monday night to make an application for a Boy Scout Charter. Scoutmaster Walt Kotula has already laid plans for a fine troop program. The first scout meeting will be held in the council room at the city hall on Monday, February 23. The local American Legion Post has approved plans to sponsor the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Senior Scouts.

According to Laird Flora, Todd County DHA testing supervisor, 455 cows were on test in the association during January. There were 368 cows in production with 87 cows dry at the time of the tester’s visit. Average production during the month was 776 pounds of milk with 33.1 pounds of butterfat per cow. The average butterfat test for the month was 4.2 percent.
