Police are asking for help with solving a recent rash of home burglaries. Since late August, Todd County has been hit with 24 home burglaries as of the press conference held Tuesday at the Todd County Courthouse. What is clear is that daytime burglaries are happening at an increasing rate and while the meeting was taking place, two more burglaries were also happening. One was reported in Clotho, and another in Aldrich. The M.O. is similar in all the cases and it is suspected that two white males about 30 years of age are cruising the rural areas looking for unoccupied homes. A description of a small, light blue, two door car has been given by some observers.

Dignitaries and politicians, joined by a large group of people, were treated to refreshments at Dan’s Prize new meat processing facility in Browerville on Thursday, September 14, for a ribbon cutting ceremony. The new state of the art plant is up and running. At this time only 16 people are employed but the plan for the future is to continue expanding with the expectation of hiring 100 employees in the next two years.
