If you are planning on attending the two-day Basic Dairy Nutrition Training in Browerville on December 4 and 10, please call the extension office as soon as possible to register. Space in the Browerville Community Center is limited and those who call in to register will be given priority. The cost for the training is $35, which covers both days of training and lunch. The fee can be paid at the door.

Ballots in the Todd County sheriff’s race were recounted last Wednesday at the courthouse. Sheriff David Kircher ended up with 5503 votes and challenger David Asmus gained one vote with 5326. There were 201 blanks and 17 write-ins.

Reports from the office of the village recorder revealed the following filings have been made for village offices to be filled at the regular village election which will be held next Tuesday, December 7. Filing were Frank Zech and Joseph Kotula, councilmen, eight years; Jos. F. John and Wm. G. Woell, village recorder, two years; Roy Redfield and John Foike, assessor, two years; John Gaida, treasurer, two years. Other offices to be filled are Justice of Peace, two years; and village constable, two years. After 12 years as village recorder, Henry Brenny decided not to file this year.
