This group pictured in the photo was out enjoying artist Missy Carpenter’s snow sculpture. Missy spent the better part of two days completing her creation. Look for Missy’s sculpture on North Creamery Street. Pictured, Marcy Carpenter, Jack Fahrendorf, Sonja Pearson holding Reid Pearson, and Missy holding Derek Blair, Brent and Kyle Petermeier, Stacia Pearson, and Kraig and Kody Motzko.

The Tigers were defeated by the Swanville Patriots on Monday night in conference action 49-47. The Tigers played an aggressive game but couldn’t stop the Patriots in the final seconds of play, as foul trouble hampered the Tigers and they connected on three of four from the charity line to nip the Tigers.

January 20, 1949
The Browerville Tigers snatched a double header from the Clarissa Buccaneers 36-20 in their fifth game and third win of the season. The first half of the game showed some very thrilling plays. Neither team could keep possession of the ball for long. The first half was mostly Clarissa over the Tigers by about a two and three point lead through the half. The first half ended with a 13-13 tie.

The Boy Scout mothers are sponsoring a card party at Paderewski Hall on Wednesday, January 19 at 3 p.m. Card prizes and door prizes will be given. A nice lunch will be served. Everyone is invited to attend. The ladies of St. Peter’s Church will entertain the public at a card party on Sunday evening, January 23 starting at 8 p.m.
