Kathryn Gresser is a name that property owners in Todd County have been familiar with for years. She has held the office of county treasurer since 1974. In February of 1998, the Todd County board voted to join a number of other counties throughout Minnesota in combining the offices of auditor and treasurer. Gresser decided to run for the new office of auditor/treasurer.

The public auction held Sunday at the Vet’s Club was a huge success, raising more funds than expected for worthwhile community projects. The auction was sponsored by the VFW Post 8391 and Auxiliary and the items sold were donated by businesses and others in the Todd County area. Pictured was Col. Al Wessel calling for bids on the POW-MIA tee shirt. Other items included sporting goods, clothing, tools and a variety of other items. The crowd had a good time bidding, visiting and staying out of the cold. Sue Wiersgalla of the Auxiliary said after the auction that it was “fantastic—a super, super fundraiser.”
