Our second week of recreational activity showed a marked increase in attendance mainly due to the state of the softball league games. Attendance the past week included 440 boys, 295 girls and 345 adults for a total of 1080 compared to last week’s 815.

The State Highway Department this week sent out to all cities and village clerks of municipalities served by trunk highways a memorandum clarifying the effect of state laws which prohibit the closing off of any trunk highway for purposes of local celebrations.
