On Friday, students gathered to hear the results of the marathon for Non-Public Education. A total of $6521 was raised in pledges. Everyone was excited to win one or more of the donated prizes in the drawing. Pictured were the top three students: Jordan Ostrowski—$200.50, Anna Becker—$258.50 and Liz Becker—$245.50. They won a cash prize donated by the local Knights of Columbus.

This past week, the Tigers volleyball squad hosted two conference opponents. On Tuesday, the Tigers played conference leaders the Eagle Valley Rebels losing a well played five game match and Thursday saw the Tigers defeating the Swanville Swans 3-0. The Tigers finished the week at 10-10-1 overall and 7-4 in conference action.

The regular meeting of the Hartford-Little Elk Farm Bureau Unit will be held on Thursday evening, October 20 at 8:30 p.m. A talk on dairying will be given by R.W. Palmby, county agent. Movies will be shown. Following this a bingo party will be held with the proceeds going to the Sister Kenny fund.

The Browerville Community Sportsman’s Club is sponsoring a bingo dance at the Horseshoe Lake Pavilion on Wednesday, October 26. A Winchester high power deer rifle is being offered as a first prize in the bingo game.
