This past October 4th, the Region II Poultry Judging and Dairy Judging contests were held at teh Long Prairie/Grey Eagle high School and the Todd County Fair Grounds. The Dairy Judging took place at the High School and also at the Bundy and Westerberg Farms of Long Prairie. The Browerville Poultry Team retailed their first place title for the eight consecutive year.

The Tiger volleyball team finished their regular season action on Tuesday traveling to St. John’s for a final season and conference match-up. The Tigers returned with a 3-0 victory with game scores of 15-2, 15-9 and 15-8. Overall record for the season was 11-10-1. Leading the Tiger’s Offence were Seniors Rayney Thompson with eight kills and an ace tip and Adrea Geraets with five kills, two ace tips and a stuff block. Katie Brever provided the sets with 10 assistants to direct the attack.

The Browerville Community Sportsmen’s Clubs are sponsoring a bingo dance at the Horseshoe Lake Pavilion on Wednesday, October 26. A Winchester high power deer rifle is being offered as first prize in the bingo game.

The Minnesota State 4H Club potato show will be held Nov 1-2 at East Grand Forks, county agent R.W. Palmby announced. Nearly $500 in prizes will be given to wining exhibitors. Robert Motl, Lone Birch Club, of Browerville, who exhibited the grand champion exhibit at the county fair and also received a blue ribbon at the state fair will exhibit at the show. Entires will be judged on bushel yield, quality of exhibit at the show and the 4H financial record and narrative report.
