The Browerville Tigers football team will be advancing to the Section 5A championship game at the Fargodome this Friday, November 5, to take on Kerkoven-Murdock-Sundberg. In defeating Dawson-Boyd in the quarterfinal, the Tigers rushed for 375 yards and took control in the second half out rushing the Blackjacks 146 to 5 in the third quarter to build a 22-0 lead.

Brent and Kyle Petermeier dressed in pirate garb to celebrate Halloween on Sunday. The boys were among the many children who went trick or treating on a beautiful warm evening and enjoyed a party at the community center.
75 Years Ago
November 3, 1949
Parkers Prairie, previously undefeated leaders of the Western Division, found the Browerville power too much to handle as they fell before the rampaging Tigers on Wednesday night at Wadena. The orange and black marched to a 20-6 halftime lead. After being kept in their own territory for a few minutes in the third quarter, the Tigers unleashed a terrific fourth quarter offensive to completely dominate play and increase their margin to 46-12.

Approximately 250 children enjoyed the Halloween party hosted by the Browerville Commercial Club at Paderewski Hall on Monday evening. First prizes for the best costumes went to Lloyd Heid for the boys and Arlis Heid for the girls; second high, Carl Iten for the boys and Kathy Iten for the girls. The door prize for the small children went to Dennis Sablovitch for the boys and Alice Gonsior for the girls.
